Freeport Community Library is hosting a month-long Window to the World Scavenger Hunt sponsored by L.L.Bean. Complete missions in your own backyard and around Freeport for a chance to win an L. L. Bean kayak, paddle, and life jacket.
This event is free and open to Freeport Community Library cardholders and Freeport residents who have access to a smartphone or tablet that can run the GooseChase app.

Basic Game Rules
This four-week program runs Saturday, May 1 – Monday, May 31.
Participants must have access to a smart phone or tablet that can run the GooseChase app and has photo capabilities.
Teams complete missions by posting photos of their completed tasks, and in doing so are awarded points.
Teams must earn at least 50 points to be entered in to the prize drawing. The prize does not go the quickest team, or the highest score, so have fun! Program missions are designed in a way that participants lacking access to a vehicle may still qualify for the prize drawing. All participants who have earned at least 50 points will be put into a drawing and a winner will be chosen randomly.
A person may not contribute to more than one team’s tasks.
Teams
Teams can be made up of family units or friends but know that the kayak and paddle prize will be awarded to one team unit.
Teams work best with 2-5 participants but can be made up of any constellation of participants.
Participants can join the game by following these simple steps:
1. Download the GooseChase iOS or Android app.
2. Choose to play as a guest or register for a personal account with a username and password of your choice.
3. Search for and select the FCL's Window to the World Scavenger Hunt game, or search by game code M4KGP6. The game password is FCL [.]
4. Follow the prompts to select or create your team. If the team has already created an access code, new participants will need to enter it here.
Program Missions
10 points | Take a photo of a sculpture or fairy house made of found nature materials
10 points | Take a photo of a nature/animal/bug book
10 points | Take a photo of you eating outdoors (+5 bonus if in the FCL gazebo)
10 points | Take a photo of you doing outdoor exercise (walking, running, roller skating, sports, etc.)
10 points | Take a photo of your favorite view from a window
10 points | Take a photo of wildlife or animal tracks (+5 bonus if at FCL)
20 points | Take a photo of you with the Giant L.L. Bean Boot
20 points | Take a photo of the white farmhouse at Wolfe Neck Farm
