Scavenger Hunt and Loop Hike Family Event in Windham

Saturday, May 8 to Sunday, May 16

Presumpscot Regional Land Trust is holding a self-guided family-friendly field event at Black Brook Preserve in Windham.

Hike the newly updated mile family-friendly loop trail, with scavenger hunt questions posted along the trail, and then stop at the new Fairy and Gnome Village to create a home from nature materials.

The event starts

The trail is generally wide and flat. The event is recommended for kids aged 4 and up, younger kids may need to be carried for short sections.

There will be a kids scavenger hunt with 12 points throughout the loop highlighting the animals and features of the Preserve. You will see the points marked on the trail map (which you will receive the day before the event) and there will be signs next to the trail.

We had so much fun fairy houses hunting in Pride Preserve in Westbrook (another Presumpscot Regional Land Trust property) that we can't wait to explore Black Brook Preserve trails.
