A Note from Your Publisher--April 18, 2020

By Kimberly French, Editor and Publisher of Macaroni Kid Portland April 17, 2020

Good morning! I hope this newsletter finds you well and breathing a sigh of relief as distance learning is put on hold for a week (at least I hope it was for you!) As I hit publish on this newsletter, I thought I'd be getting on a cruise ship to explore the Caribbean, but, of course, that's not the case. It's a bummer, but there's no point in dwelling on it. I'm going to make the best of our homebound situation and have many, many local adventures with my family. We'll make wonderful memories despite the stay-at-home measures in place, and we'll make plans to head to the Caribbean sometime in the future. It's the best we can do, so it's what we'll do!

This super-sized issue of Macaroni Kid should definitely help you Find Your Family Fun during this April Break. I wish you many fun times and lots of memory-making adventures over the next week. Don't forget to stop and take in the little moments, because it's all little moments.

NOTE ABOUT EVENTS: If an event "starts" at midnight, that means that it's an ALL-DAY, ANYTIME event (virtual). These events are available EVERY DAY, though I only listed them on one day so as to allow space for other events. Other events are usually more day/time specific. If an event looks like it's just repeating but is listed on more than one day/time, it's probably a different event, same venue. A quick click on the event will give you more information.

Have a wonderful week, everyone. Enjoy your macaroni!

Always be humble and kind.

Stay well,

Kim
