33 Garden Spot Welcomes You and Your Family for Fun, Food and Games

By Kimberly French, Editor and Publisher of Macaroni Kid Portland June 14, 2019

Maybe you've heard of 33 Elmwood, but have you heard of 33 Garden Spot? Probably not, because it's brand new, and the girls and I were lucky enough to check it out this past week. It's a wonderful place to spend an evening!

Now along with 33 Elmwood's gorgeous bowling and lounge facility comes a beautiful courtyard area that's perfect for your family (or for a date night). Bring the kids and enjoy those long summer evenings playing corn hole or bocce ball, perhaps a game of giant Jenga or maybe just pick an evening with some live music. Pull up a seat near a fire pit, pick a traditional table, or opt for a picnic table for a more authentic outdoor feel. Anywhere you sit, you'll be able to enjoy being outside while eating scrumptious food like poutine, fried deviled eggs, brick oven wings or pizza, burgers, seafood, salads and more. Most importantly, while you savor your food, your kiddos will appreciate traditional kids menu choices likes cheese pizza, chicken tenders, mac and cheese or hot dogs. Oh, and don't forget the dessert!

The girls loved the corn hole area and played with Jen Hazard (of Cute Potato) and her husband, since their kiddos were off on other adventures. I was happy to watch and take some pictures. I haven't relaxed like that in quite some time.

When you're visiting with your family, after spending some much-needed together time, let the kids go off to play while you and your partner take a seat and catch up. Don't worry, you'll be able to see the kids. Take a deep breath of fresh air, reconnect, and enjoy each other's company for a few minutes before the kids return. Now that's what I call a perfect family evening.
