MAINE JUNIORS VOLLEYBALL 12U PROGRAM 2017-2018
What: 12U Placements
Who: Players born on or after September 1, 2005
When: Sundays, 1/7/18 and 1/14/18, from 1 – 3 PM
Where: Maine Sports Arena, 15 Lund Road, Saco
Week 1 of placements (1/7) will be for preparation, and Week 2 (1/14) will be for team selection. Coaches will select 12 Blue, which has a more intensive practice schedule of twice weekly practices and tends to have the more experienced players, and 12 White, which practices just once a week. Practices are always Sundays, with 12 Blue practicing an additional weekday evening. There are no cuts at the 12U level and no experience is necessary to try out for 12U!
In addition to practices, both teams will compete in five NERVA (New England Region Volleyball Association) tournaments held through the season, March – May. These tournaments will be on Sundays in the New England area, with an effort made to stay within 90 minutes of the Maine Sports Arena (MSA).
If a player cannot attend placements but would still like to play this season, please contact us as soon as possible.
There will be a mandatory parents meeting on 1/7/18. The meeting will begin 15 minutes after players have been signed in, and will offer an opportunity for coaches and administrators to share expectations of the MJO season as well as parents to ask all the questions they may have.
