Abraham Lincoln's Birthday is February 12!

I am always looking for ways to teach my children about the men and women who have shaped our nation.  February 12 is the birthday of one such great man: Abraham Lincoln.  His courageousness and strong leadership skills brought our nation through one of its most desolate times: the Civil War.  He stood for what he believed was right and allowed no one to sway his thoughts, no matter how much someone went against him.  All of today's leaders, big and small, can benefit from revisiting the civil, yet strong and persuasive ways of President Lincoln.
