Show Description in Brief:
The tale of Hansel and Gretel has been told for centuries: two children lost in a wood are lured into a beautiful candy house. In our unique take on the tale, we're starting with the Brothers Grimm basics, then twisting and turning the story in brand new ways! See how Hansel and Gretel navigate a singing (spying?) bird, a clever witch and talking breadcrumbs in an original play created by our troupe of young Playmakers. This collaborative playmaking project was made possibly by the Margaret E. Burnham Charitable Trust.
The Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine creates theatre for kids and by kids. Hansel and Gretel will be performed by actors ages 8 to 14. The show will feature live musical accompaniment by Max Aranson.
